I’m Edwin, a former PE investor who spent a decade across Barclays Investment Banking, Providence Equity, and Tailwind Capital.
My path to PE was accidental. I grew up watching my father run a small business, and somewhere between that and a career on Wall Street, I became obsessed with how businesses actually get bought, built, and sold.
Not the theory, the real mechanics. The deal structures, the underwriting, the operators, the playbooks.
The problem I kept running into: the most useful knowledge in private equity never left the room. It lived in boardrooms, in deal memos, in conversations between partners, and almost none of it reached the people who needed it most.
